Blue Cornmeal. Any ideas?

Still going along with my Mexican theme post on dried corn husks, does anyone have any idea where I might be able to purchase blue cornmeal in Toronto. I'm willing to drive just about anywhere. I could substitute regular cornmeal, but I'm looking for that slight "wow factor".

  1. I'm sure I bought it at either the Big Carrot or the bulk food store across from Pape IGA.

Thanks so much for that info. I'll try both.

Blue Corn Crepes. Not very Mexican...but still along the "masa" theme. It's a Martha thing.

I ate at Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill in NY a couple of years ago. They served cornbread (muffins) with a swirl of yellow and blue cornmeal. Great!

        1. Bob's Red Mill makes a medium grind blue cornmeal. It's available at bigger groceries (Loblaws, Highland Farms, etc.) in the GTA.
