In the mood for a slice of banana bread, preferably close to my office on 8th and 15th, any suggestions?

I'd think one of the places at Chelsea Market (202, Amy's Bread, Sarabeth's) would have it. Not quite banana bread, but I love the banana cake at Billy's Bakery.

Yes, sorry to sound rude, but I have to say DUH - Chelsea Market has EVERY food item you could ever want.

I have gotten banana bread from Amy's, and it's good. (Though I don't know if they always have it.)

Try the Union Square Greenmarket on Fridays and Saturdays. There is a stand on the West side of the market around 16th Street that sells all sorts of breads. I believe that they have banana bread. Their pumpkin bread is good, too.
