Corporate training dinner spot for large group - thoughts??

emeboston Sep 20, 2007 09:01 AM

Hi Everyone, I'm in the midst of planning a corporate training dinner for roughly 40 people and am rapidly exhausting options for a restaurant/hotel with a private dining room in boston proper (or cambridge) that has really interesting, dynamic space without a huge ticket price. The space needs to be completely private and AV friendly so that we can make a presentation with projector, etc. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help!

what's your budget per person? when is the event? lunch or dinner?

It is a dinner and we're looking at an overall budget of $4,000 for everything - food, drinks, tax, gratuity, AV, room rental, etc. and ideally need to incorporate some sort of interesting concept, such as a wine tasting or the like. Thanks!

you don't say what night of the week or which month, but $100 p/p is easily do-able. smith & wollensky has an amazing space and plenty of private rooms.

clio at the eliot has a private function room downstairs. it's not *clio food* per se, but does come from the same kitchen. call the hotel and ask for sales.

davio's might work and sibling rivalry has a room also.

you might try upstairs on the square too---they do lots of functions.

Boston University;s Programs in Food and Wine has cooking demonstrations (hands-on for less people) for corporate groups -- includes dinner.
