Suggestions in/near Hell's Kitchen

Can't decide where to go for dinner tomorrow night. No major cuisine preferences. My price range is roughly $50-$60 pp. I have been leaning towards a great steak (what do you think about Quality Meats???) or maybe some sort of eclectic fare or tapas. I'm in the mood to indulge but not go way over the top.

Churrascaria Plataforma is definitely over the top in terms of quantity, though if you order a bottle of wine with dinner, that will put you over your range. For a change of pace try Firebird, Toloache or Barbetta. A little bit of a walk but definitely worthwhile is The Modern.

Ate some very creative and excellent tasting upscale Mexican at Hells Kitchen on 9th ave last week. Quite impressive.

Sorry, "Mexican at Hell's Kitchen", is that the name?

Was just about to suggest the same. The beef tchouma was good on my visit and served on a bed of feathery light couscous ... amazing stuff. Also interesting was the flatbread that comes with the meal and the hummus. I think I had some sort of sardine appetizer with harissa that was also excellent.

I third Hells Kitchen, but it's not really a steak destination. Can't say there are any upscale steak destinations in the neighborhood. The sirloin I had at Hells Kitchen on one occasion was quite good though.

Chimichurri Grill, 43rd and 9th. Small Argentinian. Good beef (as you would expect), nice other stuff as well. Small, maybe even cramped, but genuine. Nice owners, good food. Price works

2nd Chimichurri Grill. Good variety of meats / fish. Very tasty, but not your standard steak fare.
