Anything New Coming into Orlando/Central Florida
Read that Danny Devito along with restauranteur David Manero of South Beach restaurant fame (Devito's South Beach) were scouting for additional locations in Orlando, LA, and Vegas. This got me thinking if any other new restaurants have their sights set on Orlando or metro area? Or are there any confirmed restaurants headed our way. I know Truluks (sp?) is headed to "The Square" on I Drive along with a new mexican dig on Sand Lake. Any others?

It has been a couple of months so I thought I would revive this topic to see if anything new is planned for Orlando or the Central Florida market.

Ikea will be open on Nov 14 :) it's food related because they have delicious Swedish meatballs and lingoberry drinks. Their 99cent breakfast plate isn't too bad either.

re: katygirl
If you're local, go there during the weekday to avoid the madness that is grand opening month(s). I would imagine everyone within 5 hour driving distance will be there. Prepare to spend couple hours there...parking, huge show rooms, the checkout lines (self bagging!).
Based on other location: Their upstairs main food court is cafeteria style (grab a tray and pick the food you want), variety of Swedish foods, free refills on drinks. Then there's a snack/to go counter service after the check out area where you can get coffee, hot dog, ice cream, cinnamon buns, etc. The same area also has a small food market with native snacks, food, and drinks. Price are all reasonable too. It's pretty fun to just go there to stroll around the show rooms and grab some bites to eat on the cheap.
They haven't mentioned any specific prize give away during the line up (Nov 12), but in the past, they gave away gift cards(in $1000s), furniture set to fill a room, their signature chair.

If Ceviche's new Orlando location is even half as stellar as those in Tampa and St. Pete, there is cause for excitement.

I've already heard good things about The Ravenous Pig in Winter Park (where the old Za Bella/Popollo used to be). The menu is on their website and looks like something new for Orlando. I'll report back whenever I make it there!
