Here's copy of a last-year post I made about one of my favorite lunch places, and it's in Glen Ellen.
-------------------------
Olive & Vine, 14301 Arnold Drive, 707-996-9150. It's in the complex just south of town that also houses the Olive Press (well worth visiting also). Olive & Vine is a catering company that also has this storefront cafe. I've been pretty well stunned by the food each time, from the best French onion soup I've ever had to great sandwiches and much more. The menu changes often, maybe daily. But don't miss whatever soup they have.
-------------------------
I'll add that it's a bit difficult to see and absorb what's available there. I've taken to just asking them what they have and getting in a conversation about it.

If you're interested in breakfast in Glen Ellen, there's the Garden Court Cafe & Bakery (gardencourtcafe.com). Great breakfasts. If you're a fan of biscuits and gravy, you must have their “Granny’s sausage and gravy”. It's two large biscuits and a bowl of sausage and gravy, definitely large enough for two people, and the best I've ever had.

There's a little bistro in the back of this complex called Jack's that's serves pretty good food for lunch. Prices are reasonable too.

I stopped in there last Fall before they were serving food and talked with the very pleasant owners. I hope to try their food soon, that is if I can get myself past Olive & Vine once I'm there.
