Why no Michelin stars for Eleven Madison Park?

No restaurant on this board enjoys as much of a consensus in its favor as does EMP.

Yet, it did not receive a Michelin Star. Why do you suppose?

Humm was not on board long enough before the guide went to press. I have no doubt it will be included in the next one.

it was just one more decent restaurant in danny meyer's stable until humm arrived in 2006. i ate his food at campton place in san francisco and was favorably impressed. bruni at the ny times gave humm and emp three stars. that sounds about right. emp might be on the michelin radar down the road. we'll see.
