Italian Express in Saugus

They just opened last week in the former Italian Pantry spot on Lincoln Ave. for anyone familiar with the area. I stopped in there to grab a menu last night and got a chance to meet the owners who were very friendly and made me sample a couple dishes on the spot - a meatball and their chicken alfredo. Both were delicious so my husband and I ordered dinner from there. He got the chicken parm and I had chicken, broccoli and ziti. Everything was great and got a rave review from my italian husband who, of course, is extra picky about italian food. They have a limited menu of comfort Italian food but I would definitely recommend it if you are nearby.

I go there every week on my day off, the food is unbelievable. The chicken marsala is to die for lol.

They used to be the original owners in East Boston but sold it. The just reopened in Saugus, I recommend it to anyone.

I have driven by there many times so thanks for the heads up. I actually didn't realize that they had opened yet. They need to put a large NOW OPEN sign up.
Sounds as though you are from the area. Well, if your Italian hubbie likes Italian dessert, then head over to Lil N Chicks for homemade (and many flavors of ) Italian gelato in the very elegant cafe (expresso and cappuccino, also) and homemade ice cream. The place is located in the Pace's plaza next to the Dunkin' Donuts. Tell me what you think, if you go.

Were they previously in Orient Heights?

Yes, I believe they were in E. Boston previously. Taxi - we actually haven't tried Lil N Chicks yet but we'll let you know what we think when we do.
