Booked at L'Atelier for my birthday! Thanks to all the CHers!

Hi! I'm very excited about my dinner this Friday and just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the CHers who post here. There is so much fantastic information, and everyone is so generous about sharing their experiences and advice.

My friend and I are heading to Vegas for our birthdays, and she told me that she wanted to go all out on one dinner. I picked L'Atelier after reading all the info here, and I'm so excited! Tasting menu!!

Anyway, don't mean to gush, but just wanted to say thanks again! I'll be sure to report back on the dinner!

  1. Make sure you ask your waiter if it's possible to do the tarte tasting for dessert. Their pastry chef Kamel makes the most decadent, beautiful tartes you will ever have! Oh, and get your hands on some of the pommes de terre, Joel's world famouse mashed potatoes, which are more echere butter than potato!

      Any other suggestions? I'm going in November and thought to put together my own tasting menu as a number of the items on the Discovery Menu will not appeal to my DW (i.e foie gras, quail and veal). Of interest are: the langostine, the egg, the oysters, the aparagus capuccino, the potato confit with truffles, the tuna belly and the hanger steak or rib eye, the steak tartare, the chocolate and the tartes.

        Don't forget to have the chartruese souffle. It is sublime!

          Thanks persally. I've done a flicker search to see what the dessert looks like and found a great picture from the L'Atelier in Hong Kong. Looks like the food is uniform among branches.
