St Pete
We will be visting the in-laws for a week which means free babysitters!!!! They don't care about seeing much of us they just want to play with the baby so we want to eat out a lot and places do not need to be baby friendly...what is good down there? Love seafood, hubby loves Italian, love creative fare. In the past we have enjoyed Salt Rock Grill, and Ted Peter's for lunch and some cool modern Vietnamese place in a neat section of Tampa whose name I don't recall....so what else is good? They leave near downtown on the bay side but we'll have a car.

My current fave is The Pearl on Treasure Island. The chef is from Morocco and so is his kitchen staff, and while the food reflects a bit of that background it is generally continental, with an excellent tapas menu and terrific sangria. Check out the beach for a sunset and then the Pearl for dinner and you will be happy.

I really like Cafe Alma (some people on the board will disagree). 260 1st Ave S # 100
St Petersburg, FL 33701 (727) 502-5002
Bella Brava is good too. 515 Central Ave Saint Petersburg, FL 33705
Ceviche's is a Tapas place, pretty good. All of these are in downtown.
There's several good places in Gulfport - Pia's Trattoria comes to mind.
Brown Dog Cafe 3451 4TH St N St Petersburg, FL 33704-1307 Phone: (727) 896-8822
Another place off of 4th street that is consistent and good is Red Mesa
