I figure that one of the hounds on here will have a suggestion as to the best iced tea in Austin. Here's what I'm seeking -- the best plain iced tea in Austin. I am not looking for sweet tea, which is more of a Deep South thing than it is Texas. I'm not looking for flavored teas either. By the way, I can't stand the iced tea at Bill Miller BBQ, which some people swear by. (God knows why...)

I'm looking for plain ol' iced tea. Nothing fancy. Shouldn't be too hard, right? Just something to add lemon and Sweet & Low to and quench my thirst.

I love the iced tea at La Tapatia at 183 and Anderson Mill. I have often pondered why it is so much better and I think that it reminds me of sun tea. Sun tea being a method of brewing tea by putting some bags in a closed container of water and setting it out in the sun on a hot Texas day. mmmmmmmmmmmm

The tea at Madam Mam's south is consistently excellent (reminds me, as stated here, of sun tea).

Actually, Logan's Roadhouse has really good ice tea. Very fresh and clean tasting. Too many restaurants serve cloudy or stale tea. As for the food, it's better than Chili's and that horrid Willie Nelson joint.
