NYC Hound Seeking Late Dinner Recommendation

Hi SF Hounds -

I will be traveling to San Francisco next Wednesday for the weekend. Haven't been in years, really looking forward to it.

My flight gets in 9ish, which I figure puts me in the city around 10:30/11 PM. I'm looking for a restaurant to grab a late dinner, as I know many close around 10 (most kitchens in NY don't close until 11:30/12). I am staying near Union Square on Geary Street, so somewhere in the area would be preferred.

I am also planning on hitting up the Swan Oyster Depot, Slanted Door and R&G Lounge during my stay. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  1. Here's a topic from earlier this month on places open after 10pm on Wednesdays:

Naan-N-Curry is close but not particularly interesting for someone coming from New York.

    1. First, it shouldn't take you 1.5-2 hours to get to the city, assuming your flight arrives on time. (Granted, that isn't likely.) I would go to NOPA for late night dining, although it isn't near Union Square.

      1. I just returned from San Fran myself. Don't have recs for late night dining but as far as other suggestions I recommend Bar Tartine and A16. I haven't written my formal review yet but we loved both of these places (which I found out about here!)
