Seasonal/Autumn-themed party this weekend. Recipe suggestions?
I'm having a end of summer/beginning of fall potluck this weekend and am planning to make a main and a dessert. My friends will all contribute additional dishes. I'm thinking I'll make Gourmet/epicurious.com's Butternut Squash and Hazelnut Lasagne:

I think your main sounds great. My initial reaction was risotto with butternut squash, but a lasagna will help you avoid last-minute cooking.
For dessert, why not combine summer and fall? An apple/blueberry pie? Apple and raspberry? Apple and beach? A crisp or crumble would work well, too, if you're uncertain about doing a pie crust. But I think the combination of a fall and a summer fruit would be cute - and delicious.
