Where to celebrate b-day w/ wine & dessert downtown?
I'm looking to find a relatively inexpensive place (spending no more than $40 each) to celebrate a birthday with a couple of friends over wine, appetizers and dessert. I know UWS places well, but I'd like to find somewhere in the West Village, Soho or Tribeca. Any suggestions? This will be on Thursday night, too, so no worries about weekend crowds. Thanks!

If you're willing to venture into the LES, there's a chocolate and wine bar on Clinton St and Stanton that I have been to that may be suited for your needs.
