Seeking some good fried seafood and 'ritas up north.....
Hmmmm. No one else seems interested in fried seafood, but I grew up on it so... If you are interested in fried catfish, then Hoovers has a pretty good plate of catfish and has a full bar. I believe that the Quality Seafood also has a full bar, but I'm not positive. Their fried oysters are usually very good, nice and crispy on the outside, but the fried shrimp are occasionally a bit overcooked. I've found that they are usually perfect in the evening, but are a bit overcooked at lunch. (but not so much as to prevent me from eating them). The tartar sauce at QS is pretty good too. It is smooth, but the taste of pickle and onion come thru). And then there is the Papadeaux. They have a full bar and the fried crab finger and crawfish tails are pretty good. I'm not a fan of the batter for their shrimp, but I see plenty of people devouring them. At the Papadeaux, we (husband and self) tend to eat the appetizers. We'll get a salad with the greek dressing each, a dozen peel and eat boiled shrimp and an appetizer of either the crab fingers or the crawfish tails and leave full and happy.
