Looking for great cake near Naperville for Saturday

I'm bringing a cake to a baby shower in naperville and my girlfriend likes chocolate cake with strawberry filling and whipped cream icing.

I can't go to a chicago bakery and drive out to her b/c I don't want the whipped cream to go bad in transit. She lives an hour and a 1/2 away. Any suggestions for a bakery that's within 30 minutes of naperville?

I concur - Cakes Plus is quite good! I bought one there last year for a baby shower I hosted, and it turned out really nice. They even came up with the design for me, since had no idea what should be on a baby shower cake. They have a website, too.

I love the cakes from Cakes Plus in Naperville. I particularly love their white cake with strawberry filling and whipped cream icing. They are in a little strip mall at the south west corner of Chicago Ave. and Naper Blvd. I've gotten this in a round cake form which serves around 16 or so and costs around $40. They also have the option of fresh strawberries as a filling which I think costs more, but I haven't tried that. Their cakes are very moist and freeze extremely well, which we've done when we've had to postpone parties. They do a great job on decorating the cakes but are limited on a whipped cream topping.
