I tried it this week, but found it to be too sweet...

Yes, that was my problem with it, too sweet for my taste.

Did anyone ever get an answer to this? I'm feeling for that soup today but I don't trust the cashiers to tell me what is okay to eat...

I figured I'd bite the bullet and just call the customer service line. The soup is vegeterian and the following TH soups also contain no meat:
Cauliflower and cheese, the vegetable cream soups, mixed vegetable, tomato paramsean.

Thanks for following up. I think maybe those soup placards they put up every day to show what soups are available are colour-coded. The dark brownish ones are meat-based and the lighter more orangey ones are meatless.

I tried it too and it was okay but I like their turkey & wild rice and minestrone soups. I'm not vegetarian but was wondering the same thing and tried to check it out a few days ago. (I drink too much coffee so now i'm trying to have soup mid-morning instead - still hot but more nutritious and more bang for the buck)

They provide nutrition info on their site but to get actual ingredients, you have to call their customer assistance number - 888-601-1616.

It's entirely possible that the soup is made with a chicken broth base, since that's usually the case with commercially-made butternut squash soups.

So, your best bet would be to confirm with the franchise. They can check the ingredients on the packaging for you.

Packaging? You mean it's not made fresh?*
