Fresh, homemade tortillas in the SGV?

wendywub Sep 17, 2007 12:34 PM

I am looking for a market or restaurant that sells fresh, homemade tortillas in the Arcadia/El Monte/Temple City area.

Thanks in advance!

El Gallito has fresh flour tortillas that are great and their corn are always fresh.

Haven't been in a while, but one of my favorites is Tortilleria La Azteca in Monterey Park (right across the street from Gallos Grill, rip). Kick ass corn and flour tortillas, hand made and hand formed. Really, really excellent.

For some reason, I'm having trouble getting the place link to work, so here's the address the old school way:

      Tortilleria La Azteca
      4538 Cesar E. Chavez Ave.
      Los Angeles, CA 90022
      (323) 262-5977

My favorite is in El Monte. It's called La Mano tortilleria. It is located on Garvey about 2 blocks east of Rosemead on the north side of Garvey. It's across the street from the Taconazo in El Monte.
