Friends night out in Princeton?

We're looking for a moderately priced decent place for a get-together dinner in Princeton. None of us are from the area, so all recomendations are welcome. Nowhere too stuffy - we tend to be on the loud side when we're all together.

Thanks for all the help! We ended up going to Main Street Bistro, which worked out well. Food was fine, atmosphere was perfect and the price was right. Great suggestion.

Tortugas Mexican Village, if you can deal with a BYOB. You can get loud there and it is absolutely not stuffy.

Conte's for pizza and then the Bent Spoon for ice cream.

You might try the Salt Creek Grille up on Rt. 1. It's a bustling place with pretty good food and drink where you don't have to worry about getting loud.

And there's Triumph Brewery- one of NJ's best brewpubs, with good beer and good food in an interesting building (and, sadly, one of the most annoying websites going- turn OFF your speakers before clicking on http://www.triumphbrewing.com/launchi... and be prepared for some frustration at the "cuteness" of the site but don't pre-judge the beer or food by the site.)

I think Main Street Bistro would be an excellent choice. It's a fun place, definitely not stuffy, the food is good and the prices are right. Here is a link to their web site. Check out some of the reviews that they list.

Try One53 in Rocky Hill just outside of Princeton.

Even though a lot of people on this board might not like it, I really like the Alchemist & Barrister. They have the best guinness in the area and pub grub (their lamb stew is to die for) and some upscale choices as well. It's my favorite place to go. www.alchemistandbarrister.com
