Review of Chef's Cuisine in White Lake, MI
Hubby and I decided to check out a Chef's Cuisine on Friday. We love trying new places and after reading a short synopsis in Hour Detroit and checking out their website, we called and made a reservation.
Chef's Cuisine is about 40 minutes drive from our home but was so worth it. The ambience was warm and romantic. The building is a small ranch style home that has been converted to a small but wonderful eating spot.
Our server was patient with our questions with their extensive wine list and even brought a small sample for us to try before our purchase. We wanted to take our time with dinner, as this was our first dinner together since becoming married. Our server spaced our food perfectly. Both dinner entrees came with our choice of soup or salad. I chose the Tuscan bean soup which was a wonderful brothy soup with beans and veggies with a nice blend of spice to compliment the flavor. Hubby chose the salad with their house dressing, creamy dijon which was also quite good. Hubby chose the Ancho Chile Honey Glazed Salmon with
Pecan Butter, Corn Cake, Butternut Squash. It was fantastic with no fishy taste that often accompanies fish dishes. I opted for the Portabella Mushroom & Eggplant Lasagna. It was
layered with tomato sauce, basil pesto, parmesan and fresh mozzarella. It too was absolutely scrumptious. Both entrees came with a side of sauteed veggies that were done to perfection.
To complete our evening we decided to split a Banana's Foster Napolean, cinnamon ice cream topped with a cream puff pastry and warm caramel rum sauce and coffee. We were not disappointed and found the serving size perfect to share.
I woould highly reccommend Chef's Cuisine. Hubby and I have dubbed "our special place" and plan on taking family back there near the holiday's.
