Birthday Dinner in Berkeley

I have to attend a meeting in Berekely on my birthday so we thought we'd just celebrate there.
We've been to Chez Panisse (up and down) so we thought we'd go somewhere else. Any suggestions? Not Indian, Thai or Chinese.

    Probably more interested in good food. I like Chow. We have a discount coupon for Cosmopolitan Cafe.

          Sorry - my meetng is on a Sat. The meetings have been finishing around 5 - 5:30. I'm starting out near the downtown Berkeley BART station, but my husband will be picking me up so we'll have a car.
