Hi,
I don't know the area very well and would appreciate suggestions. Not looking for Ruth's Chris.
Thanks

If money is no option you have to try Via Allegro. Dinner and wine can run you anywhere from $300 to the sky is the limit. Try the "Moody Chef" tasting menu. The service is great and the wine and spirit list is one of the best in the world.

Located at the Queensway and the 427

If you're looking for something romantic
try Casa Barcelona (on Bloor east of Royal York).

Tapas, Sangria and 3 Amigos playing live romantic music.
      (I've had a few dates there ..)

A place I have always liked for a first day is Momo's Bistro on Queensway b/w Parklawn and Royal York. It's hip in there with live jazz some nights but the prices are decent. Food is tasty.

La Castille-Over the top decorations, plush seating, dark, intimate corners.

Green Mango at royal york and bloor for thai - very good, somewhat casual though. You can then walk over to Demetres cafe for coffee and belgian waffles with ice cream :)
Second vote for Momo's Bistro - good food and usually entertainment
Vibo - royal york and bloor for Italian.

silver spoon (roncessvales), just east of etobicoke (5-10 min drive) is great for dinner date around $125-150 for 2. Casa Barcellona is nice, so is Vibo accross the street (near Bloor and Royal York), if you have more $$, Via Allegro and Kaji sushi on Queensway are great for a special meal.
