How long is too long to marinate a flank steak?

I just put a flank steak into a marinade of soy sauce, garlic, blasamic vinegar and worschesire sauce(sp?). I am planning to cook it tomorrow evening, 24 hours from now. Should I leave the steak in the marinade until tomorrow, or take it out if it in the am? I

I pound it out and let it marinate for 24 hours when I make fajitas (main thing I use flank steak for), and it comes out great. You're doing fine.

my steak was outstanding! I marinated over night...took it out in the am. It was perfect. That is the easiest steak to make!!

I marinate it overnight always after I score it. Grill it hot and fast and let it rest 5-10 mins and slice very thinly cross grain. Great for sandwiches the next day...if you have leftovers.

there are never leftovers! I think that steak is so flavorful and there are so many ways to serve it! :)

You should be fine at 24 hours. Many soy marinades call for times from 1 hour to 48 hours or more. Just depends how strong you want the flavor. Also keep in mind that soy is salty, so if you want less of an influence, you may want to take it out of the marinade a little sooner.

thanks hannaone. IF I decide to take it out in the morning , pat it dry, and wait to cook it in the evening, it wil still have the flavor, correct?

of course! the marinade wil have soaked well into the meat by then.
