Ideas for 2 preshow dinners near broadway theatres

My wife and I are traveling to New York for the first time and have tickets to two Broadway shows (Wicked and Jersey Boys). We need help with restaurant ideas for those two nights. Price is not an issue. Any food type is okay except Spanish or Mexican. Thanks for the help.

I think that Insieme (7th Ave at 51st. St) is the best new spot in the theater district. Italian menu is split between traditional and modern renditions. Great wine list and friendly service and hospitality. We've really enjoyed each time we've dined there. They have a good website, so you can check it out on your own. Enjoy.

If price is not an object you could conceivably go anywhere and be finished by curtain time. Daniels is probably our favorite NYC restaurant but it's 20 blocks from the heart of the theater district, it can still be done. Aureole falls into this same category, incredible food, can be done pre-theater. Personally I think Daniels is too much of an expierence to use as a pre-theater. If you are looking for something closer to the theater how about Trecolori? Le Madelien is also a very good choice
