Langoustines

aka Dublin Bay Prawns. Anyone know where to buy them in Seattle. I know they are an atlantic shellfish so it may be a stupid question, but I'm missing them and its least another month before I head back to London. Likewise - if anyone knows of a restaurant that sells them I'd be extremely grateful.

Langoustines are generally only abundant in the northeast atlantic hence their name:Dublin bay prawns or Norwegian lobster. Have been trying to find even frozen ones here with no luck. If you find some in seattle please let us know

I have seen them time to time at Trader Joe's, but I don't routinely seek them out, so I can't remember the last time that they had them. Some of the better fishmongers in the area should either have them or be able to get them special order.
