Any Good Restaurants in ALHAMBRA?

handycrafter77 Sep 15, 2007 02:11 PM

My Sister just moved to Alhambra from NY. She drives to Pasadena for outings. I live in Pasadena so I've been showing her around. So far she loves Souplantation, the one by Cost Co, but she's looking for some good places in the area. Like Italian, sushi and Thai places in the area. ANyone know of any good Alhambra spots. I go visit on Sundays and we've been trying out the neighborhood spots, but nothing has stood out so far.

Why limit the search only to Alhambra? San Gabriel and Monterey Park are close by. Here are my reviews of some restaurants in the SGV: http://www.geocities.com/raytamsgv

I keep hearing about Bollini's Pizza. Tried to go there last night and traffic was too crazy on the 101. Was going to go there today but they are closed on Sunday.

I'll second Fossellman's. Maybe grab a Boba at Lollicup on Valley Blvd. or a Banh Mi at Banh Mi Che Cali? That seems like a very "Alhambra" thing to do.

Alhambra, Monterey Park and the SGV is a food mecca. Some of the best Chinese food in the country is that area. A personal favorite Vietnamese place is Nem Nuong Kanh Hoa on Valley Blvd. I went there today and had Bun Bo Hue and Spring Rolls.

Great grocery shopping at the 99 Ranch Markets in the area as well.
