Hello,

I'm coming to L.A for a week, I was wondering is there a restaurant similar to the "Jack Rabbit Slim" restaurant from the movie Pulp fiction in LA.

(I'm looking for a place where the waitresses will be dressed as actors or to dine inside a car)

thanks

I'm not familiar with anything of the kind. Flashiest option I can think of is the Saddle Ranch Chop House on Sunset Blvd. It's a western themed place with a mechanical bull in the center. Feels like dining on the set of an old-time movie. It's not fine dining. Huge average quality burgers and steaks. But it's the most theatrical place in town.

Keep in mind, of course, any place you dine in L.A., the waitresses will be dressed as actors...cause they ARE actors. But I know that's not what you meant.

Enjoy the visit.

You should go to Pann's near LAX, that is where some of Pulp Fiction was filmed.

If you want a tour of Pulp Fiction locations, then Pann's is where they shot the opening and closing diner scenes. But if you're looking to experience a swanky Jack Rabbit Slim's -style night on the town, Pann's is definitely not the place.

I think those opening and closing scenes were filmed at Holly's, which then became the Hawthorne Grill and then was demolished.

I stand corrected.

Again though, I don't think it's a location tour mayasita is after, but rather an uber-Hollywood dining experience. Yes?

Ed Debevicks, which the above link references as an influence for Jack Rabbit Slim's, has long since closed, and was never as "classy" as the movie version anyway.
