Need a bday dinner ft. greene or 5th ave

seasongirl Sep 13, 2007 07:56 PM

Looking for a place for a group of about 16 for a bday dinner on a friday. On the cheaper side, but with an okay atmosphere? Some previous favorites were Miracle Grill (on 1st avenue when it was still called that) and Madiba. Any recommendations?
Would love someplace in ft. greene or 5th avenue...

Lola in Fort Greene would work.

I'd vote Convivium too, bit it falls short on the "cheaper side" criteria; besides Blue Ribbon, it's prolly the most expensive place on Fifth.

I would recommend ici on DeKalb in Fort Greene. They often accommodate larger parties and now they even have some sort of function room upstairs, I believe. I find them to be very helpful and gracious. Entrees are in high teens, mostly, I believe.
