Frosting help

I'm an avid home baker but need some help with a frosting question. Next weekend, I'm making 3 types of cake for a bunch of cupcakes: Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting, Vanilla Cake with Vanilla Buttercream and Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Buttercream. While I've made all of these cakes and frostings numerous times in the past, I usually make and frost them on the same day. How far in advance do you think I can make the frostings? For example, if I make them this Saturday but won't be frosting the cakes until next Saturday, do I keep the frosting in the fridge or the freezer? Thanks for any help you can give me : )

      If you make them a week ahead you might give them a chance to pick up some
      refrigerator oders during the week. I suggest a day or two before you use them.
