Russell's Seafood in Irvine Closed?

One of my informants mentioned that Russell's Seafood in Irvine closed several weeks ago and the date for a supposed reopening has passed without any activity. Does anybody know anything about this? While Russell's was the greatest, it was more authentic than not and was quite convenient for people I know.

  1. i loved the brass and dark wood geriatric crowd seafood vibe, but stuffed full of chinese people!

    1. Apparently some kind of Pan Asian restaurant is moving in. No more dim sum.

Yeah, it's sad that it's gone. I drove by it last week and saw the Russell's sign gone. I guess most dim sum eaters are fine with driving to Irvine or Westminster to get their fix.

      2. I tried Russell's for dim sum and that turned out to be the only time, needless to say. The only good thing was that it wasn't busy, so no wait. After trying their food, I'd rather wait for China Garden.
