Best place to take colleagues to dinner

Any recommendations on a place to take about 10 colleagues to dinner that won't break the bank somewhere in the vicinity of the Convention center, White house, National Mall?

I'd go with Jaleo, Zaytinya or Oyamel, depending on people's preference.

Those are great choices. Near the convention center I'd add Proof and Cafe Atlantico. Closer to the Mall -- Central, Ten Pehn. Moving west -- Butterfield 9 on 14th Street. By the White House -- Oval Room, Bombay Club.

I'd also add Equinox near the White House. New regional American, with a nice private room.

I would consider Brasserie Beck the prices are good for DC and the food is wonderful. And the food isn't wild.
