  1. There's a place called Andre's on Second between 84th and 85th. Restaurant cum Cafe, all the Hungarian standards and pastries. And if you find anywhere else, please let me know!

      Speaking of hungarian pastries- do you know if they make ludlab?

      Or, does ANYONE out there have a recipe for it? I have asked hungarian friends, who have asked their grandmothers etc... no one seems to have or is willing to part with the recipe - it's like it's a closely guarded national secret. I would do anything to get my hands on a recipe for real ludlab - the kind that isn't higher than about two inches, on a shortbread like crust, with sour cherries and just creamy chocolatey goodness all around..
