Any decent, not crazy expensive lunch places to go to in the vicinity of 52nd and 6th Ave? We would be okay to walk a few blocks in any direction. We will probably go to Bar Americain if we don't get any suggestions. Nice place, but a little pricey and too long a process for a quick lunch. I'm thinking cafe style food would work best. TIA!

La Bonne Soupe, on 55th, b/t 5th & 6th, is a sweet French bistro with lots more on the menu than just good soups.

I like the lunch buffet at Ustav, the Indian restaurant on 47th and 6th Ave. It's quick, and the dining area and service are very nice.

The prix-fixe at Town is certainly worth it for a great lunch in a great setting. If you want caf-style, there is a Bukharian Jewish restaurant in the Diamond District called Taam Tov. It's very different, not like anything I'd normally eat for lunch.
