Need lunch suggestions, Rock Center area, today

Any decent, not crazy expensive lunch places to go to in the vicinity of 52nd and 6th Ave? We would be okay to walk a few blocks in any direction. We will probably go to Bar Americain if we don't get any suggestions. Nice place, but a little pricey and too long a process for a quick lunch. I'm thinking cafe style food would work best. TIA!

  1. La Bonne Soupe, on 55th, b/t 5th & 6th, is a sweet French bistro with lots more on the menu than just good soups.

    1. I like the lunch buffet at Ustav, the Indian restaurant on 47th and 6th Ave. It's quick, and the dining area and service are very nice.

      1. The prix-fixe at Town is certainly worth it for a great lunch in a great setting. If you want caf-style, there is a Bukharian Jewish restaurant in the Diamond District called Taam Tov. It's very different, not like anything I'd normally eat for lunch.
