San Biagio's NY Pizza in Upland

Anyone looking for good NY style pizza in the Inland Empire should check out San Biagio's Pizza in Upland. This place is a real find and I have to rank their pizza right up there with some of my favorites in LA! Their crust is a real winner - tender, but firm.

  1. San Biagio's Pizza is awesome. I used to eat there all the time when i lived in the IE. If you happen to be in that area, you gotta stop by. I used to always see the pro boxer Sugar Shane Mosley picking up pizza. Good NY style pizza!

    1. After you eat the great pizza and the salad with the blue cheese italian vinaigrette, go 3 doors east and have some great Ice Cream. The name of the ice cream place escapes me.

No, it's Handel's. There was another post about them recently. I tried it (the location is right off the 10), and it's very good -- lots of interesting flavors and ice-cream combinations. Any place that serves a turtle sundae is fighting against the decline of civilization and deserves our support.

dar, turtel sundae, blast from the past up there with cherries jubilee and chateaubriand for two.

With all this talk of Handel's, I stopped by there last night and verified that they had 52 flavors of ice cream/yoghurt/sherbet/ice. I remember the number, because it's the same as the IQ of the kid who took my order. In the past, I've had good service there (it's just a bunch of take-away windows), but this guy yesterday was maximally confused on many points. I will say that he made a decent sundae (following a recipe in a big loose-leaf binder), with a great deal more hot fudge than usual. But head to the nearby 99-cents if you need stimulating conversation.
