Outside dining with a sunset view

Anyone have any recs for a place with outside seating, a view of the sunset, and good food? Does not have to be limited to Boston - outside up to about 30-45 minutes away also good.

Thanks.

I've been hearing that the Tavern at Quarry Hills has spectacular views of the sunsets and Boston. They also have outside dining. While, I haven't been, the menu looks interesting. Lobster macaroni bites was item that caught my eye. I would be curious if anyone had any feedback. It's two minutes from where I work and for some reason I never think of it. The tavern is located at the Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy.

I have found one good place for beers at sunset, the Applebee's at Cleveland Circle. There is a patio under these big oak trees with the ball fields in front and the sun setting over the resevoir. A nice late afternoon spot but with horrible food, unfortunately.

I can think of two places on the water with a great view. Tavern on the Water in Charlestown in the former Navy Yard and up on the North Shore in Swampscott there is Anthony's with floor to ceiling windows. Food is okay - American. Could sit at the large bar and watch the sun set.

Most places on the east coast don't have sunset views, since we face east and all ;-) but places places like Welfleet on Cape Cod have a sunset view west across the bay. The Bookstore is one place that comes to mind, although that would belong on the New England board.

Dante in Cambridge has outdoor seating, view of the Charles and great food.

Great idea, though they do face east, rather than west.

Some of my favorites (hopefully you're not doing this tonight!):

Lobster Pool, Rockport--closer to an hour from Boston, but worth it, with views of Ipswich Bay from the picnic tables

Eastern Pier, Boston--good Chinese food right on the water in the Seaport District

Marco's, Lawrence--excellent Mediterranean food with outdoor seating by the canal

You beat me to it! I was going to suggest the Lobster Pool. (BYO, btw).

I thought Rockport is no longer a dry town? If not, will they still be BYO?

They are still, not sure if that's legal, published or otherwise.
