STL - favorite outdoor dining?

The weather has finally turned fall-ish in St. Louis and I am ready for a pleasant dinner outdoors. One of my favorite outdoor dining venues was Aqua Vin, although the food was rarely great, the patio with the waterfall was very peaceful. Now that they are closed I am looking for some other good choices. 1111 Mississippi and Vin De Set are certainly good options. How about some other suggestions? Has anyone been to Gardens at Malmaison? It seems like it gets bad reviews, but I have not read anything recent. What are your favorite STL outdoor dining locations and why? I would especially like to find some places in West County. Thanks!

  1. I vote for Lagniappe's down in Soulard. I'll admit I haven't been there in a while, but the food and outdoor patio were great as recently as a few years ago.

Went to Lagniappe's about a year ago...Patio was ok...food not so much...Pretty pedestrian...Filet smothered in blue cheese, spaghetti and meatballs with a sauce that tasted suspiciously of overprocessed glass jar..(not that there's anything wrong with jarred marinara sauce - it just takes some looking to find a good one..)

Lagniappe's closed a few months ago.

      2. It's been a few years since I went to Malmaison but if you can swing the price and the weather is decent, it really is very very very nice.

How about the "new" Busch's Grove?

Eddie Neill does not still own this.

          2. Tanner B's has some outdoor tables.

            1. I like the BoatHouse in Forest Park. The food is just OK, but the outdoor scene is very cool.

              1. Square One down on Lafayette Square has a cool patio with a waterfall. Food is OK.

Wildhorse Grill in Chesterfield Valley is pretty good and has a nice patio. It's not real scenic, but they ditched the table umbrellas for a cool canopy type cover that really opens the place up. Good spot for lunch.
