Apple-Cranberry Cake for Rosh Hashanah?

I'm supposed to bring an apple dessert of some sort to my sister's house for dinner on Thursday. For some reason, I can't seem to find something to make. I was thinking maybe some type or cake with apples and cranberries (or apples and another type of fruit?), but I haven't found any recipe out there that excites me.

I don't want to bring something that needs to be served warm, and I'd prefer to make something on Wednesday evening for Thursday's dinner.

I came across this Apple Cranberry Crumb Pie, which sounds good, but I'm not convinced yet.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

The original Moosewood restaurant cookbook has a fantastic cranapple walnut cake which I first read about on chowhound.
Here's a link to a version someone has modified - the original has 2 eggs and 1/2 c walnuts. I cannot describe to you how good it is.

I posted something about what else goes with apples for an apple crisp, and posters suggested raspberries, cranberries, blackberries, and rhubarb.
I think it's a GREAT idea to pair something with the apples especially since the holiday is early in the fall when there are many fruits available.

The only problem with making an apple crisp is that they are better when warm, and I don't want to bring something to my sister's house that needs to be heated up. So I'm trying to find a cake to make.

We use this recipe and it is wonderful. We don't use apple jelly though.

You could make a pie or other room-temp-serve dessert with apples and another kind of fruit - sorry for not fully explaining the intent of why I wrote that!
