New favorite restaurant in Camden

We have just returned from a 3 week stay in Camden Maine and really enjoyed a new restaurant--Natalie's. This is NOT the same as Natalie's on the Mill--it started out that way and after a move to the Camden Harbour Inn but she(don't know owner's name)left and took the chef. The inn has new owners who have refurbished it gorgeously and now have a chef who produces amazing food. The menu is not too extensive which I think is a plus. Local produce, seafood, and meat are featured in innovative ways and the serving sizes are just right. A chef's tasting menu is offered and very wisely, it is not required for the table to all order that as has been the custom in many restaurants in which we have dined. My husband ordered a la carte and we shared plates as they came out. The staff is knowledgeable about the wine list(nice offerings by the glass)and menu and all service was wonderful--friendly and professional, attentive but not intrusive.

Our evening there was truly magical and I deeply regretted that we did not try this wonderful restaurant until our last week! I am already planning to return next year!

    1. I had the pleasure of dining at Natalie's on Friday night. We ordered the Menu Saisonnier with halibut nicoise, and I can honestly say that the entire experience - from the moment we entered and were greeted by the gracious staff to the moment we reluctantly finished our dinner - was truly a five star event. The decor, staff, and the cuisine rival any meal that I experienced in France, and truly surpass any other restaurant in the Camden/Rockland area.
