Fresh halibut between downtown and South Bay?

I'm planning to make a halibut dinner soon and would love some ideas (other than Bristol Farms in Rolling Hills) to pick up fresh halibut. I live in San Pedro and work downtown LA, so anywhere in between would be perfect. Thanks!

  1. Maybe call first but I think they have fresh halibut. The salad bar / fresh fesh counter closes at 5:00 -- I think. While you ae there pick up some of the best shrimp cocktail in L.A. The fried / grilled fish counter closes at 2:00, or maybe 3:00

Santa Monica Seafood is the bomb! You might also want to check out the new giant whole foods in El Segundo.

      2. It's not freeway close, but I'd try calling Tony's and Quality Seafood at the Redondo pier. Quality's number: (310) 374-2382

Perhaps the San Pedro fish market at the Los Angeles Port....but I would go with SM Seafood
