Christmas in New York

My husband and I are planning to go to New York for Christmas. We will be there Christmas eve and Christmas Day. We would love some suggestions on a dinner location in times square that may have a great christmas eve/day food option. Are there any places in Times Square with a view?

Thanks

Last Christmas Eve, my boyfriend and I had a spectacular caviar-laden dinner at Petrossian, then walked over to Fifth Avenue and "the snowflake," then down Fifth to Rockefeller Center, which is packed with excited revelers, then further down Fifth to look at the Christmas windows at Saks, Lord & Taylor, etc. etc. Christmas Day is very quiet. New Yorkers tend to stay home, though many go to movies that open that day. There are special menus at various restaurants around town. It's a great time to be here. Enjoy!

Make sure to have a glass of wine at Morrell's Wine Bar. It has the greatest view of the Rockefeller tree.

The Rainbow Room has a great view but I think the food is not so great, you pay for the hype.

The Renaissance Hotel has a restaurant inside that has an incredible view of Times Square...Name of the restaurant is "Foley's Fish House"..Only ate there for breakfast, so don't know about dinner, though, places in Times Square are not of the quality of other restaurants in other parts of the city....

I can't think af a more depressing Christmas than dining at Foley's Fish House.

There is a restaurant with a revolving view in the Marriott Hotel; however, the food is mediocre at best.
