I know there a lot of posts about Chicago ribs... anyone know of a place that has live music and ribs? Preferable a casual place...

Smoke Daddy on Division in Wicker Park: http://www.thesmokedaddy.com/

Very casual; check their schedule for live music before going (usually one to three person bands -- it's a fairly small place).

Buddy Guy's. Great food, great atmosphere. Great guy, for that matter. He's probably touring in Europe this time of year, but you never know. He hangs around when he has the time and gets up to play with the bands from time to time.

Ditto on the above, altho I wouldn't go there if I were looking for a good slab of ribs. Substitute Cajun and you'll be ok.

I dunno, I liked the ribs there. And the gumbo. I thought the food would be lousy, given that we were seeing Buddy Guy for about $12, but it really surpassed my expectations.
