Large booths in South OC?

When my family all goes out together there are sometimes 9 or 10 of us. Does anyone know of any restaurant that has round tables or very large booths besides the obvious Chinese places? We are in the San Clemente, Dana Point area but will travel somewhat further north if necessary. Any cuisine is fine. Sitting all together where we can all hear and speak to everyone at the same time is the most important. Because of this we usually stay home, bring food in etc. and sit around our large round table which is ok but for celebrations it's fun to dine out.

You could try Olamendi's on PCH in Dana Point/Capistrano Beach for some pretty good Mexican. The food has never really blown me away, but I've always enjoyed my many meals there. They don't have booths, but they do have large round and rectangular tables that should be able to accommodate your family.

I second Olamendi's. I also come from a big Mexican Family and we enjoy this place often!

I think I recall that Savannah Chop House (Laguna Niguel) has some very large booths. It gets few good reviews here but I've always found it quite good. It may be a little pricey for a large family, but that's your call.

Both of the Fratello's locations (San Clemente and Laguna Niguel) can take large parties too. I've seen 12 at along table a few times. This used to be Peppino's and the menu is still the same.

They read my mind. Yes, Olamendi's is a sweet spot for groups. I had an excellent breakfast there once. Lots of kitsch, but very relaxed and friendly. Also ditto on Savannah Chop House. We had a lovely time, and I saw an additional dining room that I *think* should accommodate your large party.
