Babbo reservations: new question

I searched the board and did not find an answer to this question: If one is attempting to make a reservation by walking into Babbo, what is the best time of day to do so (how early is anyone there and is there a good chance of getting a decent, i.e. 7:30-8:00pm, reservation)? If we're better off doing the dial-at-9:58am thing, fine. Many thanks.

They do not take reservation by walk-in. Only phone

Actually, they do take walk-in reservations.. of a sort. They pick up the phone and call the reservation line for you. :-D So you might as well call from the comfort of wherever you are at 9:58 AM.
