Congee King, Agincourt: unpleasant experience

A disturbing thing happened today.

I often order take-out at Congee King in Agincourt, Scarborough, and have done so for the past 3 years. I always get the same 2 dishes, which rings up to $20.50. Today while I was waiting for my order, for no reason, I started browsing through the menu. The person who took my order came running out in a panic and said that she had charged me $2 too much, and gave me a twoonie back. Sure enough, the menu prices indicate that my order tallies up to $18.50. The disturbing part is that since I always order the same thing, and the price has alway been the same, I believe that I've been overcharged $2 on every single visit. How very unpleasant. I will never go back.

Just a warning to other patrons.

    1. Congee King always has excellent food and is still cheap cheap cheap. A quibble over a $2 isn't reason enough to avoid this nice little resto.

I believe the issue here is a matter of trust. Like the OP, I'm not sure I would want to eat at a place in which I have been regularly cheated. Who knows in what other ways the restaurant has been cheating the patrons? Just my 2 cents.

      2. Is the person who took your order the owner? I would speak to the owner then.

If the person who took your order is the owner, then I agree, I would not go back either.
