I'm going to FLA and spending the night in Richmond Hill, GA... I heard there are a lot of good eats in Savanna... does anyone want to suggest a place?

My tummy tanks you!

The best restaurant in Sav. is Elizabeth on 37th at the intersection of E. 37th and Drayton Streets. An ala carte entre is in the $25-$45 range. The service is excellent and the staff has an extensive knowledge and cellar of wine.
Most underrated or unknown is 45 Bistro, which is in the Marshall House Hotel on E. Broughton St. An ala carte entre is in the $18-$30 range, but they are excellent with good portions. The wine list is somewhat lacking, but the service is excellent.
For less expensive food, I recommend Queeny's on Habersham St. around E. 35th or 36th Streets. It is southern soul food with some better twists, and a good bar scene.
DO NOT go to Paula Deen's restaurant (Lady and Sons). The food comes out of a can and is incredibly overpriced for poor service. It is Sav.'s most famous rip-off.
If you like wine, try and visit La Chai, a small shop on DeSoto Street (small street between Drayton and Bull Streets, and the shop is between E. 40th and 41st Streets). The owner will work with you to find a wine you like, and most wines are between $10-$20 a bottle, but the sky's the limit.
      Hope this helps.
