best cafe for a cappuccino

someplace to have a great cappuccino and maybe a pastry or italian rainbow cookie.

    I like Taralucci & Vino at 10 and Second Avenue.......pretty good coffee, best in the EVil.

      What area are you interested in? In Manhattan, one of my favorite places is Via Quadronno, also Rocco's in the Village.

        any area is fine. Someplace quiet and with good pastry/ cookies as well. Not looking for a hip place though.

          Manhattan though? Rocco's is pretty quiet. VQ has wonderful cappuccino - a little UES because well, it is on the UES, but friendly etc.

            Any borough, but prefer to keep it to manhattan or brooklyn...I've done Arthur Avenue on my last trip.
