My wife wanted me to pass on to y'all what a great meal she had there for lunch yesterday. Awesome Gazpacho and then a Spanakopita for $7 total!!!

Fresh and from-scratch food at a great price for a great cause. The menu changes regularly, she was told, but there are always great soups and sandwiches.

This should be a regular haunt for downtown hounds, for sure. It's just outside of Eaton's Centre, near City Grill.

I go to this place for lunch at least once a week - its my fav. FYI today they have the most delicious lemon bar studded with sour cherries I have ever tasted. Get em while they're still there!

It's great, I'm there a few times a week in the winter, less in the summer but only because I don't crave soup in the summer. Great prices, money goes to a good cause (employment/food skills training for less-advantaged people). Entrees are homestyle ie. macaroni and cheese, meatloaf, etc. Soups rotate through 4 choices daily... beware, they often run out after about 1:30 or so.

I just stopped in here yesterday and had to add my 2 cents! What a great place to grab a quick lunch! I had a delicious Moroccan Tomato with peanut soup and egg salad on rye..both were super. I also satisfied a craving I've been searching for on this board for a great slice of carrot cake. I found exactly what I was looking for here! yum. My friend had the vegan Black Bean soup with a nice dolup of sour cream..
I'll be back for sure! (cash only-but very cheap!)

How do I get there from inside the Eaton Centre? I looked it up on Google maps but am kind of confused.

Exit the west side doors of the mall that are directly outside of Sears at the store's south end.. There you are.

I love that Morrocan tomato soup. I no longer work in the area, so I bought their cookbook and now I can make the soup at home.
They have cold soups in the summer.
Some of their food is a little bland for me, but overall I agree it's a great place with real homemade food.
