Holiday party of 70 near University of Miami

Each year, the UM head librarian takes the staff out for a dinner and he's asked me (the department foodie) for suggestions on where to go this year. I'm new in town and haven't really thought about this sort of thing before so I need your help.

We're looking for a place that can do dinner, hors d'oeuvres and an open bar in a private room so we don't disturb other patrons. Last year they did Scandinavian, I'm told. What would you guys suggest for this year?
