Bagels in Birmingham?

I'm on a quest for real, authentic bagels in Birmingham -- boiled and then baked so they're crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside. Not just a donut-shaped roll, as so many bagels seem to be these days. You would think Browdy's, being a Jewish deli/market, would have good bagels, but no, they've been dumbed down. Heck, Publix's bakery bagels are closer to the real thing. Anyone have any suggestions?

Did you try Crestline bagels? I saw someone gave you that recommendation and really want to know what you thought. I'm so happy to hear Einstein bagels is coming.

There's Crestline Bagels but I haven't tried them. Einstein Bagels is opening 5 franchises but they haven't bought the real estate yet.
