Bachelor Party Restaurant Recos?

I need to find a place that would be fun for a group of about 15-20 guys in their early 30's for a Sat night in mid-October. Some place that is both good with beer/drinks and also some nice food. Nothing too fancy, and nothing too divey.

We considered Zum Schneider's but we dont think they'll be able to accomodate a group that size on a Sat night...

My buddy had his at Liederhosen in The Village and they had a blast! Umph Pah music tons of beer and Schnapps and the food comes on platters, perfect for a group and you are right Downtown to wreak havoc after dinner.

I'm a regular at Lederhosen -- great food, great atmosphere, great company. But the place is usually dead, not exactly prime spot for a fun bachelor party. Last Saturday it was me, the bartender, a couple from Long Island and my friend talking about Ostalgie for 3 hours.

That's crazy - I would have to bet it was dead for Labor Day weekend. We had stopped going to Lederhosen on the weekends cause we'd never get a table. I thought there were always groups at the picnic tables on saturday nights.
I would suggest Lederhosen for a night out w/ a group looking to get out for under $30 pp.

I suppose I haven't been going during prime weekends then. I certainly do love that place. I spent $60 on dinner for two and drinks and came out schnockered.

It is hit or miss. I have had to wade through a 5 deep bar there to get a drink and i have been there when it was dead. Last Saturday though the whole city was dead.

Not a male so may not be the best person to suggest, but if you and friends like ribs and BBQ (like my guy friends), then Blue Smoke or Hill Country should be able to fit your group.

Loreley is a good bet if you like Zum Schneider. I think the food is better at Loreley and it seems more capable of accommodating a large group.

The new Spitzers has long tables, airy atmosphere and great beer selection. More trendy and at a bustling intersection which should play better for a rowdy bachelor party (just beer and wine right now).

My fiance just made reservations for his friend's bach. party at Wolfgang's. We don't live in NYC so I don't have further comments, but maybe others do?

I'm planning a bachelor party for later this month, as well. We're looking at Churrascaria Plataforma, Lupa and Keens. You might also want to consider Blind Tiger Alehouse, Loreley and 1492 if you want good drinks over beer.

Take two. Churrascaria could be a great idea, but after over eating (which tends to happen at such establishments), your party might come to screeching halt because of food comas....

Let me also add Hawaiian Tropic Zone to that list. I am not personally a huge fan of the place, but bachelors who enjoy good food while oggling bikin-clad co-eds in a Times Square pantheon of adolescent fantasy may find that this is a huge step above Hooters.
